This policy explains what the Perfection IAS website collects about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website only. Courses are bought and attended on our course platform at perfectionias.com, which has a policy of its own.
What we collect, and when
We collect only what you type into a form on this site:
- Asking for a call back: your name, email address, mobile number, the exam you are preparing for, and the language you prefer.
- Sending a question from the Contact page: your name, mobile number, your question, and your email address and the course you are interested in if you give them.
- Downloading free material: your name and mobile number, asked once before your first download.
- Joining the newsletter: your email address.
- With any of these forms: the page you sent it from.
You can read every page of this site without giving us anything. We do not ask you to create an account here.
Why we collect it
- To call you back about the course you asked about.
- To answer the question you sent.
- To send the newsletter, if you joined it.
- To understand which pages and courses visitors find useful, and which of our advertisements lead to an enquiry.
We do not sell your information. What you type into a form is never given to other institutes, to advertisers, or to the measurement services described below.
Who sees it
Your details are seen by the Perfection IAS office staff and counsellors who respond to you. The website is built and maintained for us by Timespade, whose engineers may come across this information while keeping the site running, and who are bound to keep it confidential.
The site runs on hosting, database and email services provided by other companies. They store and carry the information on our behalf and may not use it for anything else.
Cookies and similar storage
- If you switch the site to Hindi, your browser remembers the choice so that the next page opens in Hindi as well.
- After your first download, your browser remembers that you have already given your name and number, so you are not asked again.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, described below, each keep a cookie in your browser, so that a second visit is not counted as a new visitor. If you arrive from one of our advertisements on Google, a cookie remembers which one.
Services from other companies
- Google Analytics counts visits and shows us which pages are read. Google receives the address of each page you open, along with details of your browser and device.
- Microsoft Clarity shows us how a visit went: what was clicked, how far a page was scrolled, and a replay of the visit as it looked on screen. It does not record what you type into a form.
- If you came to the site from one of our advertisements on Google and then ask us to call you back, Google Ads is told that an enquiry was made, so that we can see which advertisements work. It is not told your name, your number or anything else you typed.
- None of this tells us who you are. What Google and Microsoft do with what they receive is covered by their own policies.
- Hindi translation is done by Google Translate. It is loaded only if you choose Hindi, and the text of the page is then sent to Google to be translated.
- Videos are played from YouTube, and a video is loaded only when you press play.
- The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, and the map link opens Google Maps. What you do there is covered by their policies.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we are in touch with you about admission, and for a reasonable time afterwards so that we have a record of what was said. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw your consent to being contacted. You can leave the newsletter at any time from the link in each email.
To be confirmed by the institute: the name and contact details of the person who handles these requests and any complaint about them.
Children
This website is meant for adults preparing for competitive examinations. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us on your behalf.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
